Integrated Pest Management (IPM) combines monitoring, prevention and targeted control methods to manage pests while minimising unnecessary chemical use.

Rather than relying on routine chemical treatments, IPM focuses on understanding pest activity and choosing the most effective response. For AFM, this approach helps protect the health and productivity of sandalwood plantations while reducing potential impacts on the surrounding environment.
